Understanding & Supporting Neurodivergent Minds

Real and compassionate support for ADHD & autism because different isn’t less.

Navigating the world as a neurodivergent person comes with unique challenges and strengths. Whether you, your child, or your students are living with ADHD or autism, support isn’t about ‘fixing’ who you are, it’s about understanding, adapting, and thriving.

With both lived experience as a parent and ADHDer, and professional training in supporting neurodivergent minds, I provide a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported.

Through counselling, advocacy, education, and professional development, I help individuals, families, and educators build understanding, reduce overwhelm, and develop strategies that work in the real world.

  • Counselling

Counselling for Neurodivergent Children, Teens & Families

When the world isn’t built for neurodivergent minds, everyday life can feel frustrating, exhausting, and overwhelming.

Through counselling sessions for children, teens, and families, I offer a safe, validating space to work through challenges like:

    - Emotional regulation and meltdowns

    - Managing school, routines, and transitions

    - Social anxiety and navigating friendships

    - Self-esteem and identity

    - Family dynamics and communication

Counselling isn’t about changing who you are, it’s about finding ways to work with your brain, not against it.

Sessions are available in-person or online to suit your needs.

  • ACT Based Strategies

ACT-Based Strategies for Emotional Regulation & Executive Functioning

Many neurodivergent people struggle with emotional regulation, motivation, and executive functioning—but traditional approaches don’t always work.

Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I provide practical, neurodivergent-friendly strategies to help with:

    - Managing emotions without feeling overwhelmed

    - Staying motivated and tackling procrastination

    - Developing flexible thinking and problem-solving skills

    - Creating routines that actually work for your brain

    - Understanding and accepting neurodivergent identity

ACT is a science-backed, compassionate approach that helps you build self-awareness, resilience, and confidence—without trying to ‘mask’ or force yourself to fit into a neurotypical mould.

  • Psycho-Education

    Psycho-Education for Parents & Teachers

Raising or teaching a neurodivergent child can be rewarding, challenging, and everything in between.

Understanding why they think, feel, and act the way they do is key to supporting them in a way that works.

My psycho-education sessions help parents, caregivers, and educators:

    - Learn how ADHD and autism affect learning, emotions, and behaviour

    - Understand sensory needs, social challenges, and executive functioning differences

    - Develop communication strategies that actually work

    - Learn how to advocate for neurodivergent children in school and life

    - Reduce frustration and misunderstandings by seeing the world through their eyes

When parents and teachers are equipped with knowledge and empathy, neurodivergent children can thrive.

  • Professional Development

Professional Development for Educators & Service Providers

Most teachers and professionals want to support neurodivergent students and clients—but mainstream training often misses the mark.

I offer tailored professional development workshops to help:

    - Educators adapt classrooms for neurodivergent students

    - Service providers understand and support neurodivergent clients

    - Organisations become more inclusive in their approach

These workshops are practical, engaging, and based on real lived experience, so professionals walk away with actionable strategies they can apply immediately.

  • Workshops

    Advocacy & Awareness Workshops

Neurodivergent people are often misunderstood, underestimated, or expected to ‘just try harder’. Education is the first step toward real change.

Through advocacy and awareness workshops, I help:

    - Break down myths and misconceptions about ADHD and autism

    - Teach how to support neurodivergent people in everyday life

    - Create more inclusive schools, workplaces, and communities

These workshops are designed for businesses, schools, community groups, and organisations that want to foster true inclusion and understanding.

Traditional approaches don’t always work for neurodivergent minds but that doesn’t mean support isn’t possible.

With lived experience and professional training, I provide real, compassionate support that actually makes sense for ADHDers, autistic individuals, and those who support them.
